Thomas Jefferson
Scott Library Planning, On-going
The Scott Memorial Library building is the defacto hub for the Jefferson University Campus and used extensively by students. TJU’s urban campus has no traditional student center, and this combined with the rapidly changing uses and functions for libraries on college campuses, make it an ideal time to step back and evaluate the best uses and functions for the building and how it relates to the campus.
The goals of this study include the larger goal of creating an new vision for the Scott Memorial Library building paired with a detailed assessment of the existing building and program. Additionally, CKd was asked to develop a program for the Center for Teaching and Learning within the building.
