McCabe Library

Swarthmore College

Architectural services for McCabe Library included renovating a large section of the second floor of the library. This included a special color room, reading room, study rooms, circulation spaces, lounge, and the relocation of the Tech Services department into a new office suite. Previously, this area of the library had been occupied by dimly lit stacks; through the use of creative lighting, the integration of artwork from the special collection, and the introduction of an open floorplan, CKd created an inviting and inspiring space for collaboration and study. FF&E included selecting and designing various furniture to allow for different types of interaction and study spaces.
