Kitchen renovation to an original 1950s kitchen. Working within the existing footprint, the renovation opened the kitchen up, creating a modern kitchen with lots of storage, still in keeping with the 1950s style home. Budget minded, Ikea cabinets were used with semi-custom door fronts that allowed for beautiful grain matched wood base fronts. A custom wood bench with storage below, allows for this young growing family to all fit around the kitchen table. In the adjacent alcove, large built in cabinets allow for hidden mudroom storage.
